Every inmate will receive an I Series PDA that they will be allowed to use while incarcerated. This will be how the inmate will be able to communicate with loved ones, and order items from commissary. The inmate will be required to acquire their own micro-SDXC card which they can choose from 64GB – 2TB for storage. This will also be their portal to entertainment, reading, and other activity you would expect a person to use a tablet for.
When the inmate is released, they will relinquish the tablet, but keep their card that they purchased. Any damages that were not reported will be deducted from the inmate’s bank account before being released. This is to assure that the inmate doesn’t damage prison property. The tablet is for them to use, and not keep.
