Prisoners will have 1 prison per region. It is truly unlikely that a county will be so bad that it would need its own prison. With that said, the inmate will remain in the prison until they are released. There are 2 exceptions. Maximum Security will be sent to Capita Maximum Security, and those mentally damaged will be sent to the asylum wards of the prison. While jails will have mental health wards, anyone guilty due to mental impairment will be sent to the asylum for their term.
The asylum will be in the maximum security system which they will be required to have proper therapy, and to take the medicine that will help them eventually lead a normal life. This will assure that those that are mentally ill will get the treatment needed and will work to integrate into normal society with continue counseling, and therapy as well as staying with their medicine.
Each pod will be segregated. For example, alll child molesters will be in their own pod. This is intended to reduce inmate violence. One can not simply assault someone for the same crime they committed as that would likely be hypocritical, and will invite retribution. By having segregated pods, there will be a normal amount of prison guards that would not have to worry about significant issues as much. All pods will be segregated by gender.
There will be cameras everywhere. The cameras will monitor all of the inmates, and there will be minimal blindspots. This is for inmate security, safety, and provides a visual record of anything that happened.
When an inmate enters the prison, they will be required to wear prison uniforms, and will only be allowed to have their ID card which will allow the prison guard to identify the inmate. The inmate will be provided with a tablet that will allow them to communicate with friends and family. Both voice, and email?s are monitored. There is no postal mail for the inmates. If someone wishes to communicate, they will need to do so by email. There will be artificial intelligence that would scan the emails and voice calls. Since the inmate is guaranteed to have an email address (NIN@mail.ka), there will be assurance that the inmate can communicate as they see fit.
