There is a county jail where people that couldn’t make bail will be housed until the conclusion of their hearing. The incarcerated will be in a pod of others with similar charges. This will reduce the inmate on inmate violence that sometimes occur. Obviously, there are pods for each gender. There will be no co-op pods with the exception of the mental health pod where each inmate has their own cell, and likely managed when they are allowed out of the cell.
Assuming the person is found not guilty of the crime accused, they will receive a payout of 1% poverty per day they were wrongfully incarcerated. This means spending 100 days in jail will add an amount up to the poverty line which is in addition to the money they receive normally. This is designed to try to find better solutions for non-violent suspects.
